Parish Council website information
- Jane Ives (22nd Apr 2015 - 16:57:56)

The parish council website can be accessed via a link to the left of this page or you can use the link below. The front page of the website contains agendas for upcoming meetings and minutes of recent meetings. It currently also contains a statement recently released by the parish office. You can also browse through minutes of old meetings using the links provided.

bramshottandliphook-pc.gov.uk

Members of the public are always welcome to attend council meetings and there is always an opportunity for members of the public to ask questions regarding items both on and off the agenda.

You can also visit or phone the parish office or indeed contact individual councillors (more details on the website).

So still leaves parishioners looking for a needle in a hay stack!

Editor, if you can help with an easy way of searching for information within documents on a website that would be really helpful to everyone. I know your company designed the website for the old parish council.

There is a lot of historical info on there which does make searching very time consuming and particularly looking for detail contained within PDFs.
Thanks
Jane

Hi Jane, there is a search facility on the BLPC site, I'll check to see how effective it is

Editor, exactly what I would have said. People just do not have the time to trawl through pages and pages - Parish Council just post the appropriate page please as requested in previous posts.

So if we can have our say at the meetings why was the willows nursery school meeting only given a few minutes to be talked about when so many people were there to ask questions????

Thank you Editor, that would be good. I've tried a few searches and it does allow you to search for particular items but I don't think it goes into the detail of documents and I'm not sure that that would even be possible??

The council has to work within a set of very strict guidelines when it comes to meetings and you can find these on the website but I've provided a link below for convenience.

We do have to get through all the items on the agenda so public participation sessions are limited by time. I personally did try to warn people on Talkback before the council meeting, where we were expecting lots of Willows supporters to come along, that this item wasn't on the agenda and therefore there was no planned discussion. I was at the meeting and I know it was very frustrating for all concerned. However, by the end of the meeting there was a plan of action and follow up meetings were planned between The Willows management team and a small group of parish councillors. These negotiations are on-going.

Jane

How about name of document, date and page number for appropriate information? Easy if you know where the info is. Old fashioned but an easy way to show us where the numbers are!

Liz, have a look at Dawn's post on Mr Stanley & councillors what are you scared of???? I think a lot has been listed there.

Liz, on this thread no particular document has been asked for so was there something specific you wanted?. I did supply the link to a particular document with regards council standing orders.

The editor rightly says that other specific documents have been identified on another thread.

Thanks Editor ddn't see that.

So it seems that those who are complaing about lack of information are talking nonsense?!
