B2070 closure
- Paul (29th Nov 2024 - 07:09:00)

This road was closed yesterday just by the Links pub. Anyone know why or when it might reopen? It’s a nightmare if you need to get from Liphook to the Golf Club

The Links put this on their Facebook page yesterday.

**BUSINESS AS USUAL**

An emergency road closure has been put in place today, following a flood at one of our neighbouring properties.

We have been advised that the closure will be in place for 5-7 days, as the road needs to be dug up.

The Links Tavern, Liphook is very much OPEN as usual by diverting via A3 or Milland.

Please spread the word 🙏

Why is the diversion sending traffic in the wrong direction? A3 south is Longmoor Road surely?

Paul, the footpath is open, so you could always ride your bicycle to the golf club.

D, if you were wanting to go to Champneys why go along Longmoor Road? Surely going to Milland and cutting back up to the Portsmouth is the best route

Dave B, I was referring to access to the A3 southbound, I normally go down the old A3 and pick the new A3 up at Petersfield. My point is the diversion is sending traffic in the opposite direction.

It looks like they have fixed the diversion signs today

Champneys? Too posh for me.

Or D, is it you’re too common for Champneys?

Steven Cooke, I gather they are not as fussy who they let in as they were years ago when it was Forest Mere.

Is there any news on when the road will be open.
