D-Day event
- BLPC (9th Apr 2024 - 12:17:32)

We will be commemorating D-Day 80 on 6th June 2024 on the Village Green (next to the Liphook Millennium Centre), starting at approximately 7.30pm.

More details nearer the time but the evening will include:
♦️ Entertainment from local schools
♦️ Refreshments
♦️ Reading of the Nation's Tribute
♦️ Lighting of a beacon at 9.15pm

We are interested to hear from anyone with local connections to D-Day, anyone with historic military vehicles, or anyone who would like to get involved.

Someone pointed out to me that D-Day was designed to fall on the 6th day of the 6th month at 6am - 666 as a satanic (anti-Christian) ritual.
Judging by the state of Europe today this does look rather ominous!

The operation was due to go on the 5th June, but was delayed by bad weather.

Nothing sinister there.

After all, who wants to get on a boat in a storm?
