Hi Jenny
There is a U3A group called Men Wot Cook - I'm not sure if the men have to know how to cook or not, but it may be a good place to start?...
Just realised - that is of course, if he's old enough to join U3A!
Good luck, and hope you get some amazing meals cooked for you before too long.

Hi. Do you have a microwave or an air fryer or a cooker?
I had to teach myself in order to care for wife..
Are you local?

Life might be easier with a three tier steamer, I have a stainless steel one that you use on the hob but there are electric ones. It is simple to pop potatoes in the bottom, fish or chicken on the next and veggies on the top.

If he didn’t feel confident making sauces or gravy I think there are some OK instants out there.

A slow cooker could help maybe?

Maybe on your good days when you are cooking do extra to freeze ( cottage pies, bologneses etc).

It is hard when we suddenly have to upskill and take on tasks we haven’t had to do before, I’m sure all his other contributions make up for his lack of skill in the kitchen .

Hi Jenny.. Well I am prepared to give it a go. But of course it depends on your other half wanting to learn!!
If he does, then let me have your mobile number and I can make a plan.
I am no Gordon Ramsay .
