Planning meeting - Resident (21st Mar 2023 - 17:12:37) Does anyone know what happened last night with the chicken farm application. Did the council reject it and stand by the liphook community.

For the following reasons: a) We believe the routing of traffic through the Berg Estate to have a "severe cumulative impact" and thus justifies refusal as per the National Planning Policy Framework. b) The traffic/transport mitigation measures suggested are inappropriate and would cause loss of character in The Square Conversation Area. c) The application omits plans for pedestrian safety at Midhurst Road, e.g. crossing points and inclusion of alternative safe cycling and walking routes away from Midhurst Road. d) There is insufficient capacity for both foul and storm water drainage at the site itself, across the Berg Estate and out onto Midhurst Road and a history of repeated flooding of properties in Midhurst Road.

Re: Planning meeting - Resident (22nd Mar 2023 - 13:05:21) Thanks for that so it seems that the site is totally inappropriate and will do so much damage to our village centre. Hopefully EHDC will see it the same. So silly when there are more sites available in a much better situation. If we have to have more houses then they should be but where we get the most benefit with infrastructure.
