Apple Pie ?? - Dave (16th Jan 2023 - 13:18:40) Hi i'm fairly new to the area and am wondering if anyone knows where the name Apple Pie Camp / Yard / Depot came from for part of Longmoor Camp please? Have read plenty on tinterweb but nothing says why that specific name.. Thanks in advance Dave

Re: Apple Pie ?? - Helen (16th Jan 2023 - 14:51:07) I do not know for sure, but there is also an apple pie railway line walk at Tongham near Aldershot. I am presuming that the name came from the Canadians themselves who came over to build the railways needed for transporting the equipment. There is an apple pie walking trail in Oregon Canada. Just a guess at the origin of the name.
