Housing in Liphook
- Kevin Wyeth (13th Jan 2023 - 11:55:01)

EHDC are running a public consultation re their new Local Plan.

easthants.gov.uk/planning-services/planning-policy/local-plan/local-plan-consultation#:~:text=have%20your%20say-,A%20public%20consultation%20on%20the%20emerging%20local%20plan%20is%20being,over%20the%20next%20two%20decades" target=new>

As our Neighbourhood Development Plan (NDP) is still….
It’s worth filling out the online feedback.

Deadline. 16th Jan.

All very well but they don’t take any notice of what the liphook people have been telling them for years. We have had more surveys and consultation’s than I can remember but NOTHING that the people of liphook want gets done.

@Russ - completely agree. Anything with 'plan' or 'consultation' in the title is roundly ignored in Liphook. Neighbourhood plan - feedback ignored. Planning consultations - ignored.

Yes letter on mail today about neighbourhood plans being ignored by councils.and community’s being ignored so what’s the point of giving our opinions?? . I think it’s just a box ticking exercise then they can put it in the bin .

Russ tried to tell you the same thing on here but you Pooh poohed me.

Joe I’ve always said that the neighbourhood plan was a waste of time and money because EHDC takes no notice of it and also takes no notice of the liphook community and what they say. So Joe, I don’t know where I said different. If I did then I apologise.

Russ On the last thread on here about the neighbourhood plan -to which I think you were the first contributor, you said “at last something is going to be done about the traffic problems in Liphook.”It appears you did place your faith in the plan not so long ago.

Ah yes Joe I thought they were getting somewhere but the council started to intervene so the community weren’t listened to so it’s all gone to pot . I attended loads of meetings at the beginning a lot of input but it’s all gone pear shaped just as well knock it on the head.

Large development favoured around the Berg Estate. 600+ houses?
Liphook could become another Billingshurst if we are not careful.

600 houses anywhere in our parish would cause problems.
