Not wishing to nit pick, but the outfit previously known as Age Concern, changed their name to "Age Uk", back in about 2009. Hope this will help to avoid confusion when trying to find things online. The old name tends to stick in people's minds.
They are a wonderful organisation and our Town Council had much involvement with them when I was a Councillor, (not at Liphook. a few years back.)

Re my previous post, I've probably caused confusion!
Two former National organisations, Age Concern and Help the Aged combined in 2009 and formed the National Charity, that many people are familiar with - 'Age Uk'.
- Age Uk still are and remain the National Charity.
A number of organisations around the Country, including, Liphook appear to be using the old 'Age Concern' name in connection with their local operation..
To add further confusion, a National Equity Release, commercial business are using a name that is also confusing.
Hope this helps. I must admit I'm a bit surprised that local organisations are able to use a name that was once apparently owned nationally by another charity..

To Clarify any confusion - Age Concern and Help the aged did combine some years ago to become Age UK, and all groups under these banners were offered the opportunity to join the Nationwide organisation, but to do so they had to surrender all funds and management to the National company.
However they also permitted local organisations to become independent charities to remain managed locally and independantly.
The Liphook Age Concern management Committee at the time, chose to remain independent to ensure the needs of those in need locally gained the support they needed.
There has recently been a change in local Chairperson and as a result there has been a drive to increase the face of the Liphook based Charity and to revive its services to those in need.
So if you are interested in being a member of the local
Charity as a volunteer or benefactor of their services please get in touch
