Grass watering

Why do people think that to water your lawn all day and wasting so much water is acceptable

Because that is sadly today's ' Me First ' society. You can see it almost everywhere.

Interesting point, but water is not a finite resource like oil or gas, nor is it's use in Liphook damaging the planet, there is no way this water could be transported to poorer nations or places in need, it's a 100% natural product with no current shortage here in Liphook that I've been notified of, we are not reliant on any foreign power, it's 100% recyclable, so if some people are willing to pay extra to water the lawn (not me though) or flowerbed, doesn't it help nature at their expense and at no harm to anyone else, in fact if they use more they pay more which means the suppliers could (in theory) use the extra profit to lower prices to poor people here or abroad, so unless there's a shortage which I don't know about, or drought order, where's the problem, or are we all just getting righteous indignation paranoia?

But when they smugly say that they are not on a water meter and can waste as much as they like….
