Planning Application Land at Lowsley Farm
- Nic Monks (2nd Aug 2021 - 14:20:30)
A planning application regarding the drainage work on the recreational area at Lowsley Farm is in progress and open for comments until the 26th of August.
The facility had a lot of effort spent initially but has not been maintained and is not in a good condition.
The planning application is an opportunity to do get something done about it and make it into the village asset that is was described as originally.
To view or comment on the application go to the website easthants.gov.uk
The links Planning Services, Search and Comment on planning applications, East Hampshire planning applications search, will take you to the search page where you enter the reference number 34310/049 which will then show the details.

It appears that this is a retrospective application to regularise work which has already been done following flooding in the last winter period. I don't think that any new work is proposed.
There are obviously reasonable concerns about the longer term upkeep of the SANGs but, in my view, these would be best addressed by direct contact with either EHDC councillors or the EHDC officer at Penns Place who is responsible for the enforcement of planning conditions.
The decision notice for original planning application for this SANGs area (34310-021) contains a number of conditions which, on the face of it, are not being complied with!

On a separate but related matter I note that one of the planning conditions imposed by EHDC when they approved the original Taylor Wimpey application(016) required that the emergency access to the eastern end of the new estate should be in place and operational before any of the new housing was occupied.
Again this condition appears to have been ignored unless there has been some subsequent agreement between EHDC and TW to vary the original requirement. I can see no evidence of such a variation on the EHDC website but it may be that I have missed it.

Some of the docs comprised in this application feature somewhere in Horndean, this seems rather strange ?
