A3 Hindhead Tunnel Improvements – Planned Closures

As part of the ongoing works the Hindhead Tunnel will be closed over three nights from Saturday 8 May, and again over three nights from Saturday 15 May. The closures will be in place between 9pm and 6am, and a clearly signed diversion will be in place in both directions via, A325, B3004, A31, A31 Hogs Back. We will also have a signed diversion from Petersfield via A272, A32 and A31.

In addition, below are details of planned closures of the tunnel coming up:

Tuesday 4 May for four nights and Tuesday 11 May for four nights – closure of the northbound tunnel with contraflow in place through the southbound tunnel between the hours of 9pm to 6am
Tuesday 18 May for four nights, Monday 24 May for four nights, Tuesday 1 June for four nights and Monday 7 June for five nights – closure of the southbound tunnel with contraflow in place through the northbound tunnel between the hours of 9pm to 6am

Please note the works are subject to change due to weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances.
