Scouts Christmas card delivery
- John Pontet (2nd Dec 2020 - 18:54:28)

Does anybody know if the Liphook Scouts are doing a Christmas card delivery service this year?

Liphook scout post will be happening this year.

Post boxes will be limited to Sainsbury's, Co-op and Gables.

As like most charities scouting has suffered by not being able to hold their normal fundraising events this year so please keep that in mind when choosing how your local christmas cards are delivered.

It costs 25p per card. The post boxes should be out by lunchtime on saturday and last collection will be on Thursday 17th December.

You can now find our bright yellow boxes in Sainsbury's, Co-op and Gables Newsagents.

Just drop your cards addressed to Liphook, Bramshott, Passfield, Conford and Fernhurst - along with the money (25p a card) - into one of the boxes and we'll deliver them for you.

The last collection is end of Thursday 17th. The cards will then be 'quarantined', before deliveries start on Sunday 20th.

This is the only fundraising we've been able to do this year, so we'd love your support, and any additional donations very gratefully received too.

Thank you!

Hi
I have just received my copy of the winter community magazine and on page one the advert said that Liphook Scouts Christmas cards post is 30p per Card.

Thanks to everyone who has used our post boxes so far (and sorry for the confusion Brenden, it is just 25p a card still!)

We're into our last week of collection, so if you are intending to use the service, please ensure you've posted your cards by the end of Thursday evening.

Thank you to everyone who posted their cards in our boxes.

We have just finished sorting, and our young members will begin delivering to the 100+ roads over the next few days.

We have a card for a "Ms F Matthews", no address given - that's all it says on the front. If anyone knows who this is perhaps they could share her address, so we can deliver it.

A big Thank You to the Scouts for delivering the cards around Liphook on such a wet weekend . Your hard work is much appreciated and hope it helped raise much needed funds for your Scout Group.
Happy Christmas to you all and stay safe.

Ditto to Anne Halls comment. Excellent service from the scouts.

I use the scouts’ post every year and take my hat off to the scouts and leaders who obviously have to spend a lot of time organising and ‘policing’ the whole operation. Thank you.
