Post? - Lilly (1st Dec 2020 - 13:25:12) Hello, Not a complaint as I admire all the hard work from Royal Mail during this pandemic, just wondering if there is a known issue with post in Liphook at the moment? Only because a couple of things I’m expecting are quite late and I need to know whether I need to chase it up with the seller or just that RM is snowed under. Thanks!

Re: Post? - JBS (1st Dec 2020 - 13:40:09) Recently I have had messages from some firms from which I have regular mail orders. There seems to be a Royal Mail backlog in some sorting offices. Delays in letter post could be as much as 14 days, as they are concentrating on parcel post in these busier offices. The problem has been exacerbated this year due to 'socially distanced' working and larger parcel volumes from more 'on-line' shopping. Last weekend with Black Friday and Cyber Monday has not helped by causing even more parcel postings

We send out a lot of post using the tracked 48 and tracked 24 parcel service with Royal Mail daily. Our customers are seeing tracked 48 taking upwards of 10 days to arrive and tracked 24 between 3 - 5 days to arrive currently. We are spending a large proportion of our customer service enquiries being "where's my order?" which are increasing as each day passes. I think with Covid, Black Friday, and Christmas, they have a perfect storm which doesn't look like improving any time soon.
