Evaccuees
- Liphook Heritage Centre (24th Sep 2020 - 11:53:37)

Hi. please can anyone help. We appreciate that this is a long shot, however we are appealing to those with long memories.
We have had a query from a Peter Greenwood who was evacuated to Liphook with his brother Jeffrey. Could anyone please tell us any recollections of evacuees in Liphook, or have any knowledge of whereabouts where we may find records of evacuees brought to Liphook and Bramshott. Thanks for your help

Hello

I don’t know if you follow the Liphook Nostalgia Facebook page, but there are lots of people on there with long memories of the local area and you might have some luck there.

My name is Simon Vivian and my mother Joyce (Joy) Vivian (nee Taylor) was evacuated to Liphook area during the war from London. I understand her whole school was evacuated there. My mother is no longer with us to question.
