Play golf on the course Buggies available Strokeplay Flag Competition Maximum 9 holes (Count half your age and stick in your flag) You can also choose Chipping, Pitching & Putting games Or have a go at everything! Drinks and nibbles from 2.30 pm Prize giving ca. 3.30 pm Entrance Fee £5.00 minimum donated to The Rosemary Foundation. This is a Covid story, My son, lain, came from Switzerland to visit in March. He was marooned here owing to the lockdown, He persuaded me to hit golf balls again. After 50 years of playing, then 7 years retired from it, I was still able to strike the ball. It was such a surprise, I felt it was a good time to help and encourage other 'oldies by putting skills to the test and raise money for a good cause! The notion gradually developed inspired by 100-year-old Capt. Tom that money could also be raised from golfers as young as around 80 and above I am 91 and enjoy the game again.. in small doses With lain's very necessary assistance and the great help and cooperation of Andy & Morgan of Petersfield Golf Club, a date has now been set for the event to take place at South Petersfield Golf Course (aka The Pay-and-Play, near the Heath.) "Golden Golfers Challenge", Wednesday 30th September 2020 Starting at: 12,00 midday.
