What’s the new procedure at Sainsbury’s?
- Sharon (25th Mar 2020 - 19:08:55)

Hi, I drove passed Sainsbury’s today and saw people queuing to get in but the car park was virtually empty. Are they limiting numbers going in? How long are people having to wait?

Queuing to get in the chemist too, only so many customers at one time due to keeping distance between the customers.

I need to go there soon running out of essentials (not just beer), is there a quietest time to go and still get bread, milk etc? are folk distancing adequately whilst queuing? Shopping seems to be the weak link in this.

I went to Sainsbury’s on Tuesday morning it was fairly quite and the shelves were not to badly stocked fruit and veg full ,bread milk etc.no tins or toilet rolls ,I understand from a friend that went yesterday afternoon that customers are being let in so many at a time as of now

Yes, Lidl in Bordon, letting limited number of people in ,at any time. 2
metre gap between customers queued up in car park too.

Had to queue for 20 minutes this afternoon, in the lovely spring sunshine and having the best shopping experience evs! Food on the shelves (except pasta, that’s never coming back) no queues at the checkouts and happy smiling, non stressed staff.

I went their and there was a queue out of both doors, one into the mother and baby parking and the other towards the cashpoint. the shop needs to let us know which door to queue in.
That said it was very well spaced.

Is there a telephone number a customer can dial to talk with a person at Sainsbury's?
01428 723124 had left that option out.

If there is a queue, join either one as the security guard lets people in alternately.

People are actually using their common sense for a change. Distancing rules being adhered to and all in a very pleasant experience. That aside, the staff are doing a great job in what are very trying times!

If 2 of you need to shop together make sure you each have a trolley as rule is 1person per trolley!
Shop well stocked managed to buy all but 3 item's on my shopping list and all the items on the shopping I was doing for over 70 relative I was also shopping for.
Well done all at Sainsbury's keep up the good work.
Simon

Is there any chance we could have a slot, say 6pm to 7pm, for people who are still at work?

Re: What’s the new procedure at Sainsbury’s?
- JOE (30th Mar 2020 - 21:40:37)

Unless you are a single mum there is no need for more than one person to do the shopping for one household. You are increasing the risk for everyone else.

Just been to Sainsbury’s it is only one person per trolley no couples.the shelves really well stocked

Re: What’s the new procedure at Sainsbury’s?
- Marge (31st Mar 2020 - 17:50:49)

You mean it is meant to be one person per household, alas it is not! people are still coming in individually and then shopping together (seems most popular ruse is for one to have a basket and one has a trolley). Today I have seen young couple x3, old couple x2 and many that seem to be asking do we need ....... to each other. Why not try thinking of all the other customers who have to wait until you two have left so that the next two can enter, also try to think about the staff who are trying to keep the 2metres rule while still trying to keep stock on shelves.

Well done Sainsburys shop floor staff, continue your great work at keeping the nations families feed.

Finally made it to a supermarket, first time in 2 weeks.

Well done and thank you to all the staff at Sainsburys, lots of calm and friendly staff.

Thank you!
