Building in Station Road
- Rachel (2nd Dec 2019 - 21:54:06)
This is more of a rant than anything else, sorry.
I live very very close to where they are building new warehouses or something near the train line/station.
Why must the noise continue all through the flipping night! The sound right now is so loud. It sounds like a massive lawn mower continually going and never stopping!
I can't cope with this constant noise. Daytime is fair enough, all night long, 24/7 is just blinking cruel.
I am disabled and quite poorly right now so spend a lot of time in bed. Thank goodness for earplugs :-(

Get in touch with the Council. The noise should not continue at unsocial hours. We had a similar problem some years ago and the noise abatement people were excellent.

Thank you Liz, I may have to, for the sake of my sanity :-)

I'd have thought it more likely that it was railway engineering works in the night than building. There was certainly some engineering works over the weekend.

Yes mandy i hear it now. Its nothing to do with the trains its the large warehouse they are in there working half the night and it really does sound like a lawnmower.

They could be power floating the concrete floor. As its cold the concrete takes longer to set so finishing takes longer.Have done it into the night myself. Peter
