New Van London Road Radford Bridge
- Helen (23rd Nov 2019 - 20:50:04)

Has anyone else been to the new Kabab van trading on London Rd by Radford Bridge ? Food any good?

I thought it was the wood fired Pizza van which moves around the area?
I have seen it in different locations on different days. Heard good things about the pizzas and garlic bread.

Hi Helen.

I take it you mean the pizza van that was there last night.
I've not had anything from it but people on Facebook saying it's very good.

So that’s where all that litter this morning came from. Thought Caravaner John was back in town :)

Very strange place to operate. Bit out of town. No permit required maybe? Plenty of customers?
Maybe he get the hoody powder sniffers and county lines lot :)

Is it still there? Are the kababs and pizza any good?

Seems to be Saturdays in Liphook - see www.vaporettopizza.com

They may get more trade parked in the square where most of the customers will be

Would not have thought large Pizzas too easy to eat standing up in the square?
I assume people drive home to eat them at home.

You must be having a laugh surely in these enlightened times people do not get in their vehicular planet murderer and drive to a layby to buy a pizza then drive home again to eat it by the telly when you can buy a pizza for a pound in the supermarket and cook it in 5 minutes, our village must be overpopulated by kitchen-shy mageirocophobiacs! Leave the takeaways for us to line our stomachs after a night down the pub, like it always used to be!

I have seen the same Pizza Truck parked up outside Andrews the lawnmower outlet in Hindhead, and also outside Coombers in Haslemere. I have never seen it yet in a town centre location. Pizza's are not just classed as a take away food or places like Pizza Express would have no customers.

Apparently the Pizzas are 9.00 each and very good. They are also in Milford on some days. Their hours are 4 pm till 9 pm so not dependant on the pub trade.

Sounds nice :-)
I haven't had a pizza in ages!
(from the other Rachel, apparently they are a few of us)

Perhaps it's the new Italian you've all been waiting for.

£9! Have to be a prince to afford that. Stainsbury’s currently Knock them out for £3 :)

Sainsburys' charge more for taste the difference stone baked Pizza and it would not be as large. I am sure most people would appreciate that the taste would be reflected in the higher price.

Re: New Van London Road Radford Bridge
- Jezza (28th Nov 2019 - 21:49:58)

I usually go for the cheapest bog standard variety. After a few beers they all taste the same. Don’t bother with the Taste No Difference range either. Even if they are much cheaper than the new kababs man’s pizzas

Just been to see if the van is there and it’s not
Dominoes it is then !!!!

Anyone know the days and times and if it’s coming back to Liphook thank you

Fellow Debbie - the link up thread says the van is in Liphook on Saturdays - but they have a Private Event this weekend so won’t be there.

Re: New Van London Road Radford Bridge

Get down to Sainsbury’s. Currently they have excellent ones reduced to only £2. It’s not rocket science turning an oven on for 10 minutes :) Or maybe you are wealthy enough to pay £9 rip off prices ?

Thanks Debbie for the info .

You cannot compare handmade prices to mass produced food

Some will appreciate the difference

Totally agree, I like Franco Manca myself :-)
