Suspicious activity overnight in Huron Drive
- F (11th Sep 2019 @ 18:29:45)

A man was caught on CCTV checking out cars/houses in Huron Drive last night at 0020hrs (Wednesday 11th September 2019)

He was definitely up to no good - not sure if he was looking at cars or their contents, but either way watch out!

Yet another robbery from a vehicle in the Canada Way/ Huron Drive area of Liphook at 04.30HRS this morning!! .

Increasing crime in Liphook is due to a gross mismanagement of Hampshire Police resources. This leads to a lack of Police patrols at night , where they could be effective and useful in cutting real local crime!

The mismanagement of Hampshire Police is typically and classically demonstrated by the endless police resources wasted driving around and around Petersfield High Street area endless times ,during daytime hours. Then this "Petersfield Police Posse" generally and at least daily, walk into Waistrose and Tesco's, checking out the shoppers in the aisles. This is , presumably done for something to do and to look busy..

Why cannot, this very important local police resource be directed to night patrols when the real crime starts and thus be effective and useful??

Am beginning to think it’s rather pathetic that we have approx half a dozen instances of a suspicious person on CCTV and no one has been afforded the opportunity to see the pictures and at least attempt to identify them.

It wouldn’t surprise me that it’s the same person on at least some of these occasions.

Do not worry, good people of Liphook, I am sure once we have completed the outstanding houses which have planning permission on the current plan and the further 600 which are being proposed is apprioved, they will reinstate the police station at the Millennium hall. ;-) (or at lest a temporary incident cabin to deal with the riots and traffic chaos when the railway bridge collapses)

Does anyone know how many of the houses scheduled in the 2028 plan have actually been confirmed in Petersfield. More importantly how much money did they get from their developers?

A little joined up thinking too much to ask from our representatives or NIMBY'isum at a local/county level.

But on the positive side, green banana's, bonfires a plenty and no parking in New Street!

I think the main crux is that Hampshire Police are mismanaged and they are very self serving. Trying their best not to be accountable to the general public. Hence no noticeable police patrols in Liphook at night. where they are needed and WOULD CLEARLY BE EFFECTIVE IN REDUCING CRIME IN LIPHOOK

However, , where they are NOT needed they patrol due the daytime!!. There is usually a number of patrol cars driving up and down the high street of Petersfield during the working day. For no reason apart from it looking good.. A very expensive PR stun. Basically ," oh look we are here"

As mentioned before they get so bored in Petersfield and for something to do, the Police usually spy on the shoppers by patrolling the shopping aisles in Waitrose and Tesco. It is very sad to watch!!!.

BUT ON Police patrols in Liphook at night where they would be useful and effective in reducing crime.
