Its like a high air pressure kind of noise.for anyone that lives here they must hear it.sometimes i hear it early hours as well.

I think you will find the noise is coming from the industrial estate on the other side of the railway. There is often a noise coming from the building next to the southbound platform that sounds like a high pressure air hose switching on and off.

Could it be refrigerated HGV lorries restocking Sainsbury’s? They can have noisy compressors. Such lorries sometimes park up on London Rd and we can hear them running their compressors to cool their cargos.

I'm not far away from that area and I know the railway had some night time work recently. I have quite sensitive hearing and haven't been bothered by noise from the commercial area near station.

The noise is from the curing machine at SnapDragon. We have spoken to them about this and they have said they will look in to getting a silencer for it.
