Community Help for Homeless Project Needed at tomorrow's Activity & Pamper Day for individuals, families, carers
- Sumi Olson (11th Jan 2019 - 13:17:56)
Dear Fellow Liphookians,
We need your help!
As well as lending an extra hands to help us complete our community project for the homeless (see below) tomorrow (Saturday 12th January 10-4 pm, Liphook Community Centre), we hope you'll pop by and see what the Liphook Wellbeing Group Community Activity & Pamper events are all about.
We're also a collection point for the Red Box Project (dealing with sanitary poverty amongst school children), Cats Protection, Haslemere, and Bordon Food Bank. We're taking plastic bottle tops for recycling and old bras for a woman's community project.
We run regular Wellness events for families, parents, grand-parents, carers & individuals as a non-profit community enterprise, bringing wellness to our community while supporting local business & charities/organisations. We work to improve mental, physical, emotional, and social good health.
We have lots of art & craft activites, lego station, nail bar (quick grooming for men and women), an all day cafe with hot & cold, sweet & savoury food, and super relaxing treatments from local practitioners with decades of experience. Enjoy respite, companionship, treatments to support healing, stress management, aches & pains, insomnia, weight control and more.
You can also bring your own knitting, sewing, or crochet projects that you can finish off amongst friends! We have plenty of sitting room - you can enjoy a drink at the cafe area at the same time. It's all about being social and creative.

DEAR COMMUNITY - WE NEED YOUR HELP! We have a looming deadline to help vulnerable people! This Saturday 10 -4 pm at our Activity & Pamper Day, we urgently need extra hands to help us put together our pre-knitted squares into neck cowls & scarves for the homeless.Takes about 15 minutes, experience not necessary (we've had children do it). Satisfaction guaranteed! Finished items from our #createanddonate table are go to the homeless in about 10 days. ALSO, added to our our usual collection boxes for The Red Box Project in Liphook, cats protection, Bordon Food Bank and unwanted bras for reuse in a woman's community project, we're taking plastic bottle tops for recycling. Join us at the Liphook Millennium Centre and help pay it forward with some social wellbeing. https://www.facebook.com/events/567583410330840/?ti=as
