Carols outside the Anchor
- Jen (16th Dec 2018 - 13:02:24)

Just a reminder that the community carol singing is happening tomorrow, Monday 17th December, outside the Anchor at 6.30pm.

A massive thank you to everyone that turned out for our carol singing evening and to all that supported and volunteered their time

Very disappointed. Normally get into the Christmas spirit with the carol service in the village. Poor turn out. Roll on the links on Wednesday

I’m sorry I have to agree with A. Was disappointed with it this year. Have been going for years. Hope next year is better. Certainly missed the band.!!!

Friends of mine went and thoroughly enjoyed it. Unfortunately I missed it due to South Western Railways chaos. May explain the lower turn out if, in fact, that was the case.

Thought this was a great start to Christmas. Everyone around seemed to really enjoy the carols. Very many thanks for all the hard work which must have gone into the organization of this event.

Really enjoyed the Carol singing last night.
Loads better than last year, great effort from everyone that organised it.
Bizarrely enjoyed the alternative ‘ warm up’ musicians.
Definitely put me in the spirit of things

So the lovely new landlord and landlady of the Anchor take over this event and all some people can do is moan!
I bet they'll be wondering why they bothered.
I thought it was good fun and am very grateful to them for hosting.

Lovely event last night, really enjoyed the medieval music at the start too. And The Anchor deserve our thanks for providing all the mulled wine and mince pies for free.

Free entertainment, food and wine yet some people still complain. Why didn't they just go back whence they came?
