I have signed it. This hospital should have more facilities in it. It is such a shame it is not used more.

Great idea - I've signed it. There is nothing locally in the event of an emergency

Whilst I totally agree with the concept of this idea, sadly your are wasting your time with a petition. The NHS is struggling to maintain current A&Es and is shutting/merging them as it is. I see no way they will open a new department when they cannot fund the ones they already have.

Your joking right? some of you voted in the selfservatives indeed of Lenin the communist, this project wont happen with the selfservatives, its got a better chance with Lenin, the selfservatives are devaluing the NHS so their mates can pick it up on the cheap and then charge you more than you earn for a bandage.
And its self inflicted, if there was a world cup for self inflicted mistake the UK would lead it, we have been played and sunk by a game we lack the intelligence to begin to understand.
Everything happens in cycles and the UK hasnt been to the bottom in a very long time, that time is now. We pissed on all our mates and have a history of doing it.
Good luck

I agree as a nurse that works in Surrey, they really can’t resource the main hospitals. Such a shame as when Thames Doc was around I took my kids to The Chase many a time for acute temperatures etc and avoided using A&E dept. Sad times but it’s the reality I’m afraid and unfortunately it’s only going to get worse with more cuts to come.

If you'd like to ask your local EHDC councillors as to what is or rather is not happening for the health hub, a key element in the Eco town development (3500 houses/10,000 or so new residents in but a few years) you could do no worse than attend the EHDC Community Forum for Whitehill & Bordon, Liphook, Headley, Grayshott, Lindford & Greatham to be held ): Tuesday, 19th June, 2018 6.30 pm at the Future Skills Centre, Eastern Road, Bordon, Hampshire GU35 0NE

From one of the Bordon development websites:
Cllr Ferris Cowper, EHDC’s Portfolio Holder for Whitehill & Bordon, said: “The new town centre is going to be the jewel in the crown of Whitehill & Bordon’s regeneration. It will give the town a thriving core – a place where people can meet for work or for leisure, a place to shop, to walk, to grab a bite to eat or to catch a movie or a show.
“These exciting plans are the corner-stone of our work in Whitehill & Bordon and will be one of the most important, most transformative steps we take in its development. I can’t wait for people to see them and study them for themselves.”
All very exciting stuff according to Ferris - presumably the Council has considered the healthcare all these people will need in their "Healthy New Town" - or maybe not....

Weren't they talking about closing the Royal Surrey a few years ago and moving everything to Ashford due to deteriorating funds?
I can't see them opening an A&E at Bordon, do you realise how many resources that would require to implement?
At best a minor injuries clinic, maybe that would be realistic.
As for attending communal forums to get heard, personally I think they're a bit of a sham. Communal feedback is an essential tick box part of local governance nowadays, whether it's for planning or funding, so that the government can say 'we consulted as required before doing exactly what we wanted'. It's only on those rare occasions when public hostility becomes so heated that it can no longer be avoided that they'll maybe listen, in fact as one friend in the civil service told me, they only consult to pacify and avoid the occasional riot.
