19th June 2018 - Your child's options after sixth form or college.
7:30pm - 8:30 - £15 per parent
If your child is in sixth form or college, they will be on the cusp of making their next big educational decision – what they will do when they finish their course. There are so many interesting options available to young people now, that supporting your child’s decision making can be daunting. This impartial workshop will help you as a parent to understand the pros and cons of each route, so you can best support your child.
26th June - Support your child through university applications
7:30pm - 8:30 - £15 per parent
Has your child decided that a degree is the right route for them? The next stage is helping them to decide on a subject and a university. This workshop will help you feel more informed about the process and better equipped to support your child throughout their UCAS application.
30th June - Write a winning UCAS personal statement
10:30am - 12:30 - £40 per student
If your child has decided that university is the right route for them, then the personal statement is part of the UCAS application which will set them apart from other students. It is their chance to show their skills, achievements and what they can bring to university life. With many universities offering places based solely on applications rather than interviews, their personal statement could be the deciding factor. This event is suitable for students in Year 12.
