Sainsburys
- Gillian (11th Jun 2018 - 18:26:15)

Am I alone in thinking that Sainsburys' policy of allowing bare topped sweaty workmen into the store, covered only in an open gilet, is completely disgusting? Especially round the fresh produce? GROSS! Not only are there hygiene issues, but presumably equality ones too as I am sure they would not let similarly clothed women in like that. If you feel the same, please complain to the management and lodge your thoughts on Sainsburys' website.

Quite agree, we need a return to stern Victorian values, in fact a dose of Puritan doctrine wouldn’t go amis! Better still let’s take a leaf out of The Koran!!

This should be fun,who is going first ?

- Ay Non (11th Jun 2018 - 22:10:13)

I guess you don't do the shopping much Ian? Or you're one of the unattractive slobs letting it all hang out? It's not a discipline thing just a bit of thought for other people. I'm with you Gilian

- Alison (11th Jun 2018 - 22:14:21)

Oh for goodness sake it's Sainsbury's not Harrods

Re: Sainsburys
- Heids (11th Jun 2018 - 22:17:18)

Ok, I’m done with Waitrose .......making my way to sainsburys to ogle sweaty workmen

Re: Sainsburys
- Anon (11th Jun 2018 - 22:53:45)

I'm not averse to a bare chested sweaty workman in a gilet if he looks like Aidan Turner....is that really wrong of me? And I'm sure having hardly any clothes on is no more unhygienic than someone handling your melons when they haven't washed their hands ;)

'Bare topped sweaty workmen'...  Sounds ghastly.

Could be worse though. It could be a window cleaner:-

Enjoy ladies ;)

Ay Non, where does is say "fat unattractive slobs" in the original post. Are you just letting you're imagination run wild or are you being weight prejudiced?

Re: Sainsburys
- Mrs c (12th Jun 2018 - 09:13:14)

Never mind the workmen I walked behind a rather large male employee yesterday evening who stank like a polecat.Sainsburys should have a policy of if you don’t keep fresh don’t bother coming to work

Re: Sainsburys
- Anon (12th Jun 2018 - 13:00:05)

People wearing pyjamas, dressing gowns and slippers to Sainsbury's annoys me more!

Re: Sainsburys
- P Weyland (12th Jun 2018 - 14:15:15)

Are you sure they're not part of a 'Village People' tribute act?

Re: Sainsburys
- Marian (12th Jun 2018 - 14:53:20)

In reply to Gillian, yes you are alone.

Re: Sainsburys
- Dollypops (12th Jun 2018 - 18:23:25)

Gillian is absolutely not alone. A bit of consideration for others is so sadly lacking.

Re: Sainsburys
- sidge (12th Jun 2018 - 19:00:07)

No Gillian you are NOT alone!!! I don't care if bloke looks like diet coke man (if only) more likely grossly overweight, tattooed and with a fair expanse of bum crack overflowing...... put a shirt on.... I really don't want to see it!!
Similarly wandering the streets, in the interests of equality, neither do I wish to see scantily clad women parading their hefty flesh either...

Re: Sainsburys
- Richard (12th Jun 2018 - 21:25:21)

Having worked in retail for years I know at the shop I'm at we have asked people to leave if they walk in without a shirt.

Yes it might be hot, but at the end of the day you're wandering around food that you might not be buying half naked and sweaty.

Sorry mate. Get out and put a shirt on.

Food hygiene.

Sign of the times, with all the social housing that has gone up in the village and with lots of manual workers on the new homes sites, this sort of thing is COMMON place now

Re: Sainsburys
- Jimmy (13th Jun 2018 - 13:11:52)

Ok Dave what has the original post got to do with tenants of social housing
