East Hants Local Plan
- eric benson (11th Apr 2021  15:25:16)

Does anyone know what's happening with regard to the East Hants District local plan 2017-36?

A lot of time and effort was spent in early 2019 reviewing proposals from EHDC, attending presentations and submitting responses to the initial consultation by March 2019. The arrival of Covid in early 2020 put that all on hold.

In December last year the planning committee decided to re-work the scheme as running to 2038 and seemingly adopted a new timetable in January this year. The latest information, when you can find it, is the next stage of any public consultation will not be until April 2022 at the earliest with the plan to come into effect from May 2023, if not later.

Why is there no newsletter or similar on the EHDC website mentioning this change?

Regards
Eric

Maybe ask EHDC Planning rather than on here.
Don't imagine EHDC are monitoring this site.

I do know that our local district councillors read this site and have in the past posted under their own names, one with think M that coming up to election time one or other of them would look into it for Eric. I do believe M that you are quite often posting too about planning matters.

Yes Joe I do make comments about planning matters on this site when I actually have some info/facts that I believe could be helpful.
The original poster appears to want to know what's happening with the Local Plan, so to ensure he gets the most accurate info I suggested he contact/speak to EHDC Planning Dept.
I still believe he won't get any accurate info on this site and I also believe our local EHDC and Parish Councillors will not post a reply on here about the facts of the new Local Plan. The EHDC website dies have some info but nine of it us easy to find or digest.
If you have some info perhaps you can enlighten us all?
