The aim of The Liphook & District Businessmen's Association [LiDBA] is to be of service to the community, particularly the young and disabled. The Association assists other local charities' fund raising events as well as raising money for local deserving causes.
The Association has a monthly dinner meeting at a local hostelry at which fund raising events are discussed and planned. These meetings are very lighthearted, but purposeful.
In between times, there is a full social calendar which includes, for example: brewery visits, wine tasting, skittles, a safari supper, golf, slot car racing, etc.
Not all members are in business, although this was the case when the Association was formed in 1974, hence the Association's name. Our members come from all walks of life and what they share is a wish to help the community whilst enjoying themselves socially. |
