Three Counties Amateur Radio Club | The Three Counties Amateur radio club has some evening talks over the next few months.
The club meets at the BRAMSHOTT PARISH CLUB & INSTITUTE, Headley Road.
Day & Time of our meetings are always the 2nd and 4th Thursday in the month at 8pm.
THURSDAY 24th OCTOBER
Circuit Modeling - Simple PCB designs on a PC with Bob Coombes. A talk and demo of PCB electronic circuit design using a simple PC design program. This talk could be of great interest to students of electronics and radio enthusiasts alike. Bobs Amateur Radio callsign - G4ZEJ.
14th NOVEMBER
WX Satellite Data Receiving Demonstration by Frank Bell. Frank will be showing us all the fun of getting those weather pictures from space first hand. This can be a fascinating part of amateur radio but also can be mastered by computer enthusiasts or any interested person with a PC. It would be of interest to students of weather and makes it possible for all of us to prove that not just Michael fish can make inaccurate weather predictions. Franks Amateur Radio callsign is G7CND. Frank is a retired Science teacher and was instrumental in the amateur radio linkup with the space station MIR British female astronaut Helen Sherman when she talked from space to children at the Royal Grammer School Guildford.
28th NOVEMBER
Antenna workshop - computer modeling of antennas with Graham Searle. Graham will be demonstrating a popular and well known computer modeling program for antenna design. If you have seen Grahams demonstration talks before then you wont want to miss this one. Armed with this information your TV and radio arials can be examined for their ability to receive and transmit long distances. Graham is an independent electronic development engineer in the optical and EMC measurement industry. G4WNT is his callsign.
23rd January
Arks & Sparks - demonstration of Static electricity etc. with Graham Searle and Frank Bell. Graham will be demonstrating the effect of static electricity on our lives. How to stop Lightning from hitting your chimney and redirecting it to your neighbors tree instead. Frank will be bringing along some fascinating equipment for the demonstration some of which will make your hair stand on end - Im not kidding.
