The Rosemary Foundation is a small local charity offering home palliative
care to patients suffering from cancer or other life-threatening conditions.
The 'Hospice at Home' service is provided by a small team of qualified and
experienced specialist nurses, counsellors and care assistants.
The Foundation came into being when the Sue Ryder Home, Bordean House in
Langrish, closed after the lease on the building expired in 1997. Local
practitioners and the staff felt there was a resulting gap in care offered
to terminally ill patients. To meet this need, the former Bordean House
staff conceived and brought the Rosemary Foundation into being. It has since
extended its area of operation and is currently active in a wide area, which
includes North, Mid and South-East Hampshire. |
