Golden Boat Chinese Restaurant

Tried the new Chinese on Midhurst Road last night and it was really good...they've done it up beautifully, the food was great and service very friendly. Watch out for their set menu prices as I think they're a little expensive so we just ordered off the menu...there was plenty of food and the bill came to just over £60 for 4 people. Will definitely be going back!

I agree with Jane -
We tried the set lunch menu a couple of days ago, and it was fantastic! For £6.95 we had much more than we could eat. A good choice of starters, main courses and rice/noodles, and excellent quality.
The restaurant has also been fitted out to a really high standard and the service was impeccable.
We will definitely be going back soon for lunch. I agree that the evening menu looks rather more expensive.

I got a takeaway from there last night and it was lovely. good food at a good price. will definately use them again.

Having remonstrated in another post about the opening of another Chinese restaurant, I tried it out and it's great! Thoroughly recommended.

Just to say we also tried The Golden Boat last weekend (31st).
Food was good and reasonable value... we had a set meal and there was loads of it! Service was friendly if slightly slow but the restaurant was absolutely full so maybe understandable.
We'll definately return but maybe ring first/book. Keep up the good work guys!
Would be great if we were able to have another restaurant choice, an Italian or English, with good quality and value food........ under £10 main courses........ but is there a market?
