Liphook Travel will be hosting their next Destination Evening on 30 January 2014 with the focus on Switzerland. Thinking of a scenic rail journey a scenic rail journey or a holiday in the Alps?
We will be joined by experts from Switzerland Travel Centre to give you an insight into the fantastic holiday opportunities in this exciting country.
The beauty of the Alps, the white peaks of the mountain ranges, breathtaking views over picturesque valleys and deep blue lakes - that is the scenery of “Switzerland by rail". The rail journeys take you close to majestic glaciers, gushing waterfalls and mountain tops. Itineraries include iconic train routes like the Glacier Express or the Albula-line of the Bernina Express, the famous mountain excursions to the Jungfraujoch or the Gornergrat.
