Toy appeal

96.4 Eagle Radio’s Christmas Toy Appeal is returning again this year to bring joy to underprivileged children.

Charities around Surrey and Hampshire will be giving teenagers and children toys kindly donated by the public, which will be delivered in time for Christmas.

Once again Eagle Radio are joining forces with the libraries of Surrey and Hampshire to act as drop off and collection points for anyone who wants to donate a toy.

Eagle Radio`s Programme Director and Breakfast Presenter, Peter Gordon explains why he enjoys the Toy Appeal, “Every year we ask our listeners to respond for our appeal – and every year their generosity is just fantastic. We are so lucky to have people who want to join in with us, making a difference in the local area.”

Squires Garden Centre, who are proud to be backing this year’s Appeal, will have drop off points at their stores in Badshot Lea, Woking and West Horsley. Eagle Radio`s Managing Director Paul Marcus is thankful that so many local residents in the area back the appeal, “With the recession affecting many families and local charities, this year`s toy appeal is more important than ever. Without the appeal, there will be many children in Surrey and Hampshire who will simply not be receiving a Christmas present this year.”

If you are able to pay for an extra toy this Christmas, please donate it to the Toy Appeal.

You can start donating your unwrapped gifts from Monday 22nd November to Sunday 19th December.
