Liphook Support Laundry - anne hall (20th Dec 2012 - 22:53:11) Happy Anniversary to the Liphook Support Laundry and well done to the Committee who have worked tirelessly over the year to make sure it remains open for the elderly residents of Bramshott and Liphook.A very worthwhile cause which we know is appreciated by those who use it. With all the generous donations, grants and gifts from the local community, businesses, charities and organisations the laundry managed to raise over £10K to take over the running and purchase a new washing machine, dryer, iron and press. The number of clients using the laundry has doubled in the past 12 months from @ 13 per week to over 25 per week. We have also just had to raise an additional £3K for new gas pipes and a new gas meter and again the fantastic people of Liphook, along with Radio Solent, came to the rescue. If you know of any elderly residents, or disabled people that would benefit from having their laundry washed, dried and ironed for a nominal fee of £6 per load then please pop in to the laundry to discuss.
