Fog Lights
- Andy (19th Dec 2012 - 12:03:29)

If it's not foggy, PLEASE TURN THEM OFF - both front and rear. They're very distracting and annoying for both oncoming traffic and cars behind you. You should NOT be using them if it is not foggy, please see the following if you are in any doubt.

You're right about unnecessary foglights, it's becoming the norm for people to drive around at night with them on. I think it started as a fashion thing in London a couple of years ago, I started noticing it back then. It was the big foreign Mercs and Range Rovers, then it progressed down to the teenagers and became cool. As a frequent night time driver it's as annoying as the super bright bulbs everyone seems to be retro fitting to their cars, sold at Halfords next to the normal ones. They dazzle you so that you can't see anything else till they've gone past, even then you need a few moments to readjust.
I would also refer you to the following site as this is becoming a bigger problem.
