Proposed Liphook Trefoil Guild
- Barbara Crook (12th Oct 2007 - 12:07:07)

- Were you ever a Brownie or Girl Guide?
- Did you want to belong to Guides but didn't have the opportunity?
- Would you like to know what today's Guides get up to and what they will be doing for their 100th anniversary in 2010?

Girlguiding Liphook are planning to form a Trefoil Guild which will meet at Liphook Guide HQ. It will be part of the nationwide network of Trefoil Guilds, an organisation of over 20,000 members which has existed since 1943. It is mostly, but by no means entirely, made up of women (and some men) who are or have been connected with Guiding.

Membership is open to anyone aged over 18 who has been a member of Girlguiding UK and also to those who have not previously belonged to the Guide Movement but who are willing to make the Guide Promise. Affiliated members do not make the Promise but subscribe to the aims and principles of the Association.

If you were in Guiding as a child or young person, and enjoyed the fun and camaraderie that you had, or if you weren't involved at all but would enjoy making new friends with a similar outlook, and would like to have fun, learn new skills, develop your talents, explore new places, and on occasions get involved in local projects and support local Guiding, then you would be very welcome to join the Trefoil Guild.

There will be an informal open evening at the Liphook Guide HQ (adjacent to the Millennium Hall and opposite Sainsbury's supermarket) on FRIDAY 19TH OCTOBER 2007 FROM 8PM.
Everyone is welcome to come along and learn about the activities current Rainbows, Brownies, Guides, Rangers and Leaders are involved in, and if you are interested, to find out more about membership of the proposed Trefoil Guild.
