The Community Support Laundry of Liphook - Katy B (6th Dec 2012 - 09:50:23) Hi Everyone, Just to let you know Irene from the Community Laundry was interviewed on Radio Solent yesterday as part of their Community Chest grant scheme. We need to raise £3046 for new gas pipe work and a gas meter as the old system is now deemed dangerous and inadequate. We have already received a grant from Age Concern Liphook for £1500, which was a great help, so we are hoping Radio Solent may be able to contribute too, fingers crossed! The grants awarded are announced on Friday but for anyone who would like to listen to the interview I have paste the details below: www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/... You can listen for the next seven days I believe. If you do listen Irene is 2hrs 13 mins in to the programme so slide the bar at the bottom to hear her. Should anyone wish to make donations to the Laundry I am happy for A3 Sports to be a drop off point. Wishing you all lots of luck with your fundraising. Beth

This is a great help towards the pipe work and we look forward to having the repair work completed in the next two weeks (weather permitting!). Many thanks Katy

Re: The Community Support Laundry of Liphook - Katy B (7th Dec 2012 - 15:42:20) HI Everyone, Sorry forgot to mention that the lovely folk in the "Liphook Love to Sing" Choir held a fund raising event for the laundry last week and raised over £700, a fantastic amount!
