Julie Felix - The Ruby Tour - March 19 - Freddie Dawkins (26th Feb 2004 - 15:43:50) Hope you've noticed the posters and fliers going up in and around the village - Friday March 19 is the day and Julie Felix is the singer. As we're trying to build the entertainment on offer in the village, please think about spending £8 on a ticket. I'm so ancient, I remember when Julie appeared on the folk scene in the 60's. She was a BIG star for a while, then went off and did her own thing for a few years, though still recording and working, and then released a very successul, more mainstream, album about 2 years ago. She's back, I think, to her inspired best as a thoughtful folk singer and commentator and the evening promises to be great fun. Julie will be doing an ofening 45 minutes, then there will be a 30 minute break (and yes, the full bar will be open) and then a second 45 minute session. So good value and it's right here in our village. Try and support us in bringing more live entertainment to the village. This promises to be one of the most successful and entertaining musical evenings held so far at the Millenniumn Centre, so if you are free on Friday evening, why not come along. Julie was the hippy chick all us teenagers who weren't rockers or particularly mods used to listen to. Think flower power, think turn on, tune in and drop out....
