Victor Meldrews - Steve Read (23rd Feb 2004 - 21:46:00) Dear Editor, Thankyou for your letter and of course I respect your decision not to publish my previous correspondence. It certainly was not my intention to prolong any threads on this site or to provoke the regular users. However I feel it should have been pointed out that there is a silent majority in Liphook who rightly or wrongly go with the flow, we are the ones not always in the Local paper every week, we are the ones not bemoaning trivial matters of everyday life when there are more important problems we face as a community and life in general. Needless to say that does not mean we are not here, watching and listening and on the odd occasion speaking out. It is a common mistake made by all elected parties or self elected individuals to deceive themselves that they speak for all of us, all, all of the time. In closing I do take an interest in the site and my compliments to you and your staff. Regards, Steve Read
