Estate Agents
- Susie (17th Sep 2007 - 13:27:36)
I am looking to sell my 1 bedroom flat in Liphook.
I have invited Kelway Law, Keats and Hamptons over to value my property with the view to using one of them to sell it for me.
They all vary slightly in price, and I am keen to know of any good or bad experiences anyone has have with any of the local agents?

Keats get my vote by a long shot.
We had a bad experience with Kelway Law when purchasing locally.
Cheers, Finch

Hi,
Try Clarke Gammon in the Square, they offer a professional service and resonable rates.
Heard good reports from people that have sold locally.

I would thoroughly recommend Keats. Very friendly, very efficient, they will price your house fairly and competitively (unlike some others I could mention!!) and they will work very hard to market your house. I would use them again without hesitation .

Bought and sold 3 houses in Liphook - Keats or Hamptons have always been good, very professional and know the market from years of experience.
Recently had a valuation by one of the newer agents - so way out it was embarassing. Probably a case of not doing homework beforehand, wanting to sell it quickly, undervalued for a quick commission....
When it comes to renting, used Keats Fearn in Haslemere once - good firm.

Also had a very very bad experience with Kelway law when purchasing a house in Conford. It all fell through due to their misdescription. All in all not v professional in my humble opinion.
Keats are good but will perhaps under value slightly, Hamptons have a good professional reputation and good advertising space in the local paper - but not negotiable on rates wheras Keats maybe more flexible.
Good luck

Thanks very much for all your replies. I had already decided to go with Hamptons and just wanted your opinions to concrete my decision.
I have also had 2 bad experiences with Kepway Law, so they were definately a no go!
Thanks again,
Susie

I wonder if Kelway Law read this site?
Strange that so many of us (in such a small area) have not had good experiences!!
