Bowling Alley
- annehall (23rd Nov 2012 - 10:11:18)

Whilst there is a discussion on Talk Back regarding a swimming pool several years ago we did discuss that on the 0SU site would be a good area to have a bowling alley built. This would provide not only employment for the local people but give facilities for all members of families to take part in.We as a family have often visited similar facilities in the Midlands which not only has a three lane bowling alley but pool tables -skittle alley -facilities for parties and weddings and an internet cafe for the teenagers with coloured ball pool for the tots. There are always lots of families attending and families pay either a yearly membership or a set payment for use of each facility.
The surrounding area of the building is very pleasant with grass and trees and a large parking area. Again parking is another issue on the roads by the 0SU site and again would be another problem solved. Even the new skate park could be built alongside there and would move the old one from where it is now causing problems to the residents and the local people of the bowling club. At least this would give the residents of Liphook another venue as not all people are interested in sport or swimming.
Perhaps the builders who keep putting plans in for houses could be asked to contribute to something for everyone ie. employment entertainment and enjoyment.
