Anyone Lost a Cat??
- Eneida Nelson (17th Nov 2012 - 16:53:26)

Very pretty and friendly tortoiseshell/tabby cat, probably 3/4 years old...no collar... in the Headley Road (fish & chip shop area).

Found it in my kitchen this morning eating cat food and seemed VERY hungry...has been in and out of the house all day and doesn't seem to want to go home...I don't mind, but my cats not too keen!!

Is it a tabby and white male? Maybe with a chunk missing from his ear? Ours disappeared a while ago - he was wearing a collar, but may possibly have pulled it off.

Thanks
Nicola

Hi Nicola,

No, sorry...it's a tortoiseshell/tabby cat...that's a mixture of orange/brown with black stripes and I'm pretty certain it's a
girl :)

Hi, can you tell me if the cat has a tan circle around its nose and mouth please

Thank you Eneida for getting back to me, and thank you Ed for your assistance.

It is not Splodge - but I do hope the owner comes forward and the cat picks up some energy.

Thanks again,
Dawn

Sorry for pointing this out if you've done it already but have you taken it to the vets to see if it's micro chipped?

I lost a cat six months ago we moved house. He could have been trying to make his way back. Please could you tell me if he has a tan colouring around his mouth. Thanks

Thanks Eneida. It's a pity that it's not ours (or another of the missing cats on this thread). Let's hope that this one is reunited with its owners soon.

Thanks for posting though - very much appreciated.

@ Of and Lorraine...I can confirm that this little GIRL cat doesn't have a tan circle around her mouth :)

We shall be taking her to the vet tomorrow (Mondays is always a very busy day for them) to check for a microchip...I'll report any outcome on this site.

I'll also post a photo here ASAP...

Re: Anyone Lost a Cat??
- Eneida (20th Nov 2012 - 11:23:28)

We've now taken the cat to the vets and no microchip was found...the vets also not had any one asking about a lost cat of her description and neither have Hiscocks.

Note the distinctive white stripes on her tail.

Our tabby and white male went missing in July. Still miss him so much and hope he will turn up. Try looking on the cats Protection Website haslemere branch they list any lost or found missing cats with regular updates. They are also very nice and helpfull when you phone them.

Re: Anyone Lost a Cat??
- Eneida Nelson (29th Nov 2012 - 12:40:37)

I agree with you Diane...the CPL people in Haselmere do a terrific job and are very friendly...we adopted our two current cats from there.

I've been regularly checking their website and also the National Missing Cats website for Hampshire and Surrey, but haven't seen anyone that matches this cat's description.

Of course, although this cat gives every appearance of being a stray, it's possible that it just belongs to an irresponsible owner...after all any owner who doesn't bother to get their cat micro-chipped IS irresponsible IMO. It only costs about £15.00 and I believe you can get help to pay for it, if you can't afford to have it done.

'Audrey' has been reunited with her family...they recognised her from the photo of her unusual tail... :)

Well done Eneida for taking so much care in helping to find the cat's owners. Obviously a very thoughtful person.
