Closure of the Granary
- Chris (4th Aug 2007 - 12:03:54)

Just found out this morning that the Granary is being forced to close for business from 9th August due to the sale of the premises.

The bread and pain au chocolate from there has always been wonderful and I think this is a real loss to Liphook.

I wonder what we will get instead?

Sshh,careless talk costs lives !

I did hear a rumour that Urban Home is moving in and their old shop is going to be a coffee shop !

Oh, I hope so.
Often need a place to wait the 45 mins between dropping kids off and the bank opening. I'm not so keen on the one in Station Road - although I'm not knocking the great British fry up type of place - it just would be nce to order a skinny latte sometimes!!

Chris,

Sorry to hear that the Granary is finally to close, but have you tried asking Liphook Bakery (Station Road) to make your treasured delights?. They are always trying out new breads/cakes. Their Lardy cake is also top notch. ( Unfortunately Liphook Bakers just didn't make the grade for me there when they tried it)
