Local Post Offices

Passfield PO has been given excellent coverage of the possible removal of their Post Office - and very important it is too - BUT they are not the only Local Post Office that could close.
I was talking to the owner of Greatham PO at the weekend and his is no more safe than anyone else. He told me that ALL small PO are under review and that could also mean Rake and Liss Forest. Each and every one of these small communities - like Passfield rely on them.

It was interesting to read in the national press that post office owners are being told that they could forego their compensation (up to £60,000) if they give out a negative message about the closures. Scandalous if it is true!
