paris hotels

Hi can anyone recommend a good but not too expensive hotel in Paris, child friendly if possible, near but not necessarily in the centre but with good transport links?

I've worked in Paris previously, and there is a huge variety of hotels and of course price range!
However, a year ago I did a cycle race which ended in Paris and was put up in an Ibis hotel south of the Eiffel Tower. It was about £70 per night per room, and was billed as a 3 or 4 star hotel. It was in fact really good, and better than more expensive hotels I've stayed in. It had a gym and swimming pool, was near a Metro station and I think it was in Place d'Italie (I was a bit drained by then and didn't pay too much attention!).
I remember noting that I would happily take my family to any of the Ibis hotels in Paris, as they were fairly priced, were clean and safe, and had a good range of amenities. And most of the 'interest' in Paris is of course outside the hotel, so I can recommend the chain.
Hope this helps,
