local shopping - marian (27th Jul 2007 - 12:32:16) In view of the recent posts about big supermarkets versus small local shops I just thought I would mention A3 sports for anyone needing to buy school uniform. I booked an evening appointment for my daughter and two of her friends. Not only did the three of them enjoy trying on their new secondary school uniform together but the whole lot was done within forty minutes or so and we left complete with all we needed. Well done to A3 for providing such a good personal service!! A prime example of the small, local shop being able to offer a level of service the bigger chains can't.

Re: local shopping - liz (27th Jul 2007 - 13:47:01) And with a focus on local shopping I'd like to recommend 'Peep Inside' to anyone who hasn't shopped there yet. A superb collection of cards, wrapping paper and all the trimmings plus an excellent selection of gifts from the classic to the quirky. They also sell yummy chocolates but maybe thats not such a good thing for some of us (!). (And no, I don't know the owner or anyone who works there!)
