O2 signal problems?? - Amanda B (13th Nov 2012 - 21:20:11)
Before I contact O2 was wondering if anyone else has been experiencing poor mobile signal strength over the last few days. I can only get an SOS signal when in Liphook.

Don't talk to me about Vodaphone, we have had no service in and around our house for the last 8 weeks or so. When you phone them, they say that they are very sorry and the signial will be up and running by the end of the week.n Still no signial

I am on vodafone and the signal has been terrible and yes I agree in that calling them does nothing as they say there is not an issue, but prompltly tried to sell me a sure signal box for £50!!
I have heard since, that apparantly there is a vodafone transmitter in Haslemere on the co-op property and there is a dispute between them and vodafone regarding access!!

Signal for Orange/T-Mobile (now called Everything Everywhere or EE) is also bad. It used to be excellent until the two compamies joined forces and one of the two local masts was taken down.
I complained a year or so ago and was told that in general signal strength in Liphook was excellent so it must just be my home location. They suggested I upgraded to a phone with Signal Boost technology which uses my home wifi.. Doesn't help when out and about though and incoming calls from other EE users often drop out. It soon bacame obvious it is not just me.
I haven't officially verified this but I was told by another local EE user who complained to the company about his signal recently that the reason one of the masts was taken down was that it was on military land and the military expected them to pay two rates for the mast as it was owned by two companies.
Frustrating!

There is a problem with the Vodafone mast in Haslemere! Vodafone keep denying it! please insist on a full month by month bill refund and complain to the onbusman if you do this Vodafone will have to admit to the problem, compensate accordingly and fix it!
