The Youth of Liphook
- Eneida Nelson (16th Feb 2004 - 16:21:24)

What a pity the youths of Liphook seem to have nothing better to do on their half-term holidays then to hang around the back of Sainsbury's making silly comments to middle aged ladies struggling past with their shopping trolleys (like me for instance)!!

What about building them something energetic ... I hear artificial skating rings are very popular now, perhaps the Parish council could get Sainsbury's to cough up for one?

Eneida -

There is the skatepark behind the Library. It's been there for, oh, two years now. It's quite well-used but some of the older youths seem to think it's better to skate in Sainsbury's and annoy shoppers!

Sainsbury's do serve anti-trespass notices on persistent offenders and the police do check the car park as often as they can. Apart from that, shoppers can support each other and ask the youths to read the signs and move on...though what they might say you probably don't want to hear!

Lets really get right wing - make them listen to Julie Felix for hours on end or swap plants with Freddie?

These kids have gone unpunished for too long!

Now, now, Alex. You're just being silly. Pick up your toys and put them back in your pram ;_)))))

I had a very weird experience with this recently when i found myself complaining to the Sainsbury's manager (Fred) about it - i'm not much old than these little toerags!

He said all they could do was keep phoning the police as they weren't considered a priority - the more times they called the further up the list they move. Whats that all about?
