Work Experience Ideas for 16 year old - Helen Atkin (31st Oct 2012 - 20:24:14) Hi My son has just started on an animal management course at Merrist Wood college. Part of the course is that he needs to do a two week work placement in January which he must find for himself. The problem we have is that both my husband and I work full time and therefore have difficulty getting him to the obvious places we could try. We've searched locally or places he could go on the train but are stumped. I was wondering therefore if anyone has any ideas we could try - he has worked at Firhill Kennels on Saturdays for the last two years - could go there but would like a different experience. If anyone has any suggestions they would be gratefully received - hes a good lad and willing to work hard. Thank you for your time.

Re: Work Experience Ideas for 16 year old - Eb (1st Nov 2012 - 07:11:12) My daughter did hers at St. Peter's vets petersfield and the pet shop there and went by train, she also went to cats protection but that's a bit tricky to get to.

Re: Work Experience Ideas for 16 year old - ck (1st Nov 2012 - 13:05:27) Have you tried the vets in Liphook, Haslemere. Even if they are unable to take on work experience students, they maybe able to suggest suitable alternatives.
