Be warned computer phone message - Dee (31st Oct 2012 - 10:24:34) Hi All Just had a phone call, from a company claiming to be windows support, the number was withheld, told me I had a problem with my computer. Told them I don't have a computer!!! They put the phone down on me. Dee

Re: Be warned computer phone message - A. Ryan (31st Oct 2012 - 18:53:46) I have had loads of these!!, About a month ago they phoned and I asked them where they were based, they said Victoria London. As it happened I was going up that day and told them. I pretend to go along with the call for ages just so they are wasting their money on the call. I asked for their phone number, which they gave to me. I also asked for the address at which point they put the phone down on me. Checking the number they gave me on my mobile phone proved not to be a proper number at all. I always leave the phone off the hook for a good twenty minutes so they can't phone out. It needs more people to mess them about on the phone so they get put off!!

Re: Be warned computer phone message - tony (31st Oct 2012 - 19:49:02) I get loads of these type of calls.My latest childish response is to say " hold on I'll just go and find that person" then after a few minutes say "here they come", take the phone into the downstairs loo, flush it and let them listen. Hopefully they get the message!

I tell them I have a laptop from work and ask if they would like to explain to someone from our IT department - so very upsetting when they just hang up on me!!
