Mercedes Specialist - Raman (3rd Jul 2007 - 23:10:47) Hi Can anyone suggest a good mercedes specialist to service my A Class. Tony Purslow at Hindhead are too pricey. Regards Raman

If you want to stick to main dealers, you'll need to make a few phone calls. Try Lancaster down in Chichester. They will be on directory enquiries. When I needed a Mercedes main dealer service, I phoned 6 dealerships and the difference from top to bottom quote was more than £200. If you don't need a main dealer, there's Andy House in Longmoor Road. Andy's very fair and sticks to estimates - no hidden extras. Or you could try the Alton MoT garage in Mill Lane. Chris Chandler and his brother are really good. They used to be in Kingsley and moved and expanded a few years ago - but they still give a great personal service. They do some high value cars like big Jags and Mercedes and Audis as well as old wrecks like my Land Rover.

Re: Mercedes Specialist - Allan (5th Jul 2007 - 11:10:20) Hi Raman, If you've got the time it's worth a trip down to Chichester to Porchester Mercedes if for no other reason than to gawp at the Boys Toys on the non-Mercedes part of the site. Aston Martin, Morgan, Lotus,Jensen, etc. All there in one place! Great fun. You'll find them just on the edge of Quarry Lane Ind. Est. on Bognor Rd. Cheers

Their work shop is next to my office. They are Volvo specialists but they do work on Saab, Mercedes and BMWs. I have no idea about their prices but the procession of vehicles up and down outside my door suggests that they must be reasonable.

Re: Mercedes Specialist - barbara (5th Jul 2007 - 15:53:33) try mercedes direct on the web, their prices are cheap and they deliver the car to your door-there are outlets too to visit, they are ex fleet cars but given the mercedes service before being sold on. [editor - he is looking for a company to service his A class, he is not looking to buy another one.]
